Another interesting and very successful Policy Conference on EU sustainable week was brought to a successful end.
The Policy Conference is the biggest European conference dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. It brings together policy makers, industry and stakeholders to discuss the most recent developments and progress in sustainable development.
More than 100 sessions organized by the European Commission and energy stakeholders focused on sustainable energy issues. In vibrant environment debates on new policy developments took place, as well as exchanges on best practices and sustainable energy ideas.
Our attention was on financial instruments that can help sustainable energy to increase pace of adoption. Regarding to this, technological options for energy storage, retrofitting of old buildings etc. were presented and the way forward explained in detail. The session regarding the insular regions, draw also a lot of attention, demonstrating the will of the newly established Secretariat to push forward island decarbonisation.
